Alyssa Diaz

Alyssa Diaz is an American actress best known for her recurring roles on a number of TV shows such as As the World Turns and Army Wives. Diaz was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Bishop Alemany High School. In 2005 Diaz landed her first breakthrough TV vesting in As The World Turns, which she starred in 56 episodes of. After a number of small consistent parts, in 2011 she appeared as Jasmine in The Nine Lives of Chloe King. Diaz’ reputation continued to grow and the following year she landed a recurring role of Gloria Cruz on Army Wives. In 2013, for the seventh season, she was upgraded to series regular. Other notable credits include The Vampire Diaries, Ray Donovan and Zoo. Diaz’ breakthrough movie role took place in 2012 in the remake of the film Red Dawn. Her versatile acting has also seen her appear in How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, and in the television films The Jensen Project and Ben 10: Alien Swarm. More recently, since 2018, Diaz has appeared as a main character in The Rookie. She also currently features in Netflix’ Narcos: Mexico. Read more
